Reporter Aptitude Test: Question Four
Car Accident Dilemma
The Scenario: There has been a traffic accident on the freeway, and a quick
glance ahead shows there are at least three badly deformed cars at the
scene. What describes your attitude the best?
You drive by,
looking straight ahead. Gawking at potentially seriously injured people
in the midst of their trauma and tragedy is in the worst possible taste.
Traffic is
slowing anyway, so you take a look to try to see how this calamity occurred.
You indulge your morbid curiosity by staying with the flow of traffic and
splitting your attention between driving and viewing the scene.
You pull over
and pose as a government accident investigator. This will allow you to
get the gory details, and explain why you are taking pictures of everything.
You pull over
as far from the accident scene as possible. Some gawker is going to hit
your car and blame you for the accident.
You grab the
opportunity to gawk. As a result, you either hit the vehicle in front of
you, or stop suddenly and get hit from behind.
