Reporters Aptitude Test

The Who, What, Where, When, Why and How
of the Reporters Aptitude Test
(not necessarily in that order):

WHAT: An aptitude test to determine if YOU have what it takes to be a high-profile reporter. The test is designed as a series of scenarios, with five possible responses to each one.

WHY: Michael Edwards, the main character in Richard Warren Field's novel, The Election, is a reporter turned Presidential candidate. We are trying to promote this book, while also discovering the next generation of muck-rakers. . . uh, journalists.

HOW: Review the scenarios and determine which of the five responses matches most closely what you would do. At the end of the test, go to the answer key and see your results. We don't have any forms or fancy interactive Java programming here, so you will need a scratch pad to keep track of your answer numbers.

WHO, WHERE and WHEN: You! Here! Now! Let's see if you have the right ethical and moral stuff for success in today's tough news media.
